No Holds Bard

Shakespeare Remade

No Holds Bard is our annual Shakespeare festival. We are big fans of Shakespeare, but we know that sometimes his language can be a bit of a barrier to newcomers. So, a few years ago, we came up with the idea to make a Shakespeare festival that didn’t look like any other. Thus, No Holds Bard was born.

The Onion Game

By Bryan Delaney

May 12, 2022 to May 28, 2022

Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm; Saturday & Sunday at 3pm

Main Stage Theater

The Onion Game is a dark, rioutous, inventive farce that presents “a hilarious assault on the hollow aspirations of modern life,” as Onion and his wife Pearl secretly plot each other’s ruin—with the aid of their children, of course! Delaney’s writing echoes playwrights like Albee, Mamet, and Friel, yet is wholly original, distinctive, and modern.
